I'm stillusing the deck that came with my 08 Vibe but I'm having a lot of problems with my FM Transmitter, I find that instead of playing what I'm transmitting it like to receive everyone else's iPods and Sirius radios instead. I never had this issue in my old car, or my wife's or any other car I've been in, just the Vibe.Anyone have an experience dealing with this?

Welcome to the forums. I use an FM transmitter all the time and never had this issue. Sometimes I will get a signal from a local radio station if it is set too close.

the itrip worked great on my car, it even had me enter my zip code and find me the best stations to use for fm transmitting. EDIT:HA found it!!!http://stationfinder.griffintechnology.com/now you can see which stations you should use!
Its the Griffin iTrip I have and the interference isn't from radio stations, its from other people with XMs or iTrips. It seems like as soon as I get on the highway I'm listening to someone else's Howard Stern or Desi music.Well I'm looking at the Sony Xplod cdxgt420ip, anyone know of any thing I should look for when it comes to the vibe and the Sonys

There are a lot of different factors involved with the fm transmitters, for instance i had a big problem with the newer sirius units because the signal seems weak from the transmitter, once i installed the FM relay that ties into the antenna port in the HU 99% of the problems went away. however i suffer the interference problem in my girlfriends caravan because i have not installed the relay yet. I also live in south florida and there seems to be a radio station on every frequency nowadays or interference from other equipment.I also do think that there may be some electronic interference in the vibe/matrix as well because I didnt truly have this problem in my previous vehicle (2000 Chevy S-10)

I ''had'' the iTrip. The only way it would NOT give me interference here in Canada is if I had it sitting on my damn lap the entire time. Even then, if I was turning a corner and my body was in the wrong position, I had nothing but static. I went through SIX of them before I gave up.
i had the itrip for my nano when i had the stock head unit. i got nothing but static unless the ipod was sitting on the dash. if i adjusted my steering at all it went flying. since then i've upgraded my HU and sound system. i really reccomend using a direct connection to plug your ipod. not one that uses the headphone jack, one that uses the ipod jack. i've used one of those in my friends cars, doesn't give a full surround sound setup. a few songs i have will do that where they "travel" around to the different speakers, it's not as good unless you use the ipod jack.another benifit of using the ipod port, it charges it too!<<a bit of an audophile.
