Officially 5 years Jan 10, 2008 from the date I picked it up.As for mods, I have you to blame, you're one of my primary inspirations! I just couldn't afford it until this past year.I am considering Katzkins, but not many dealers I inquire call back.

I will say, I really enjoyed my Katzkins kit. It was excellent quality compared to my other leather kit I had in my Tundra. Plus, being able to pick and choose colors and fabrics makes it even better. Sorry we missed you on our trip up in 05, would have been fun to meet you w/the rest of the Calgary crew. maybe next time around. You remember Vibechick??? we'll be flying to Mexico for her wedding in a few months... should be good times. We've met some great friends on these forums!Post up some pics when you get everything installed on the car! and 5 years?? wow! I've never really owned a car that long! this is going on 3 years in April for the LGT and that's the longest I've had one car with my name on the title! Which will be sold end of August since I'm moving back to my old hatchback roots. I miss having a hatch!
My Vibe is the second car I've owned. First being a Dodge Shadow for 15 years. You know, I never did meet the Calgary crew. They stopped meeting pretty much around the time I moved here!I do remember Vibechick's posts here. Don't think she comes by here anymore. Give her my best wishes when you see her.Going back to hatch back hmm? Why not the new Vibe? Be fun to see what you do with it!

Be fun to see what you do with it!nope, i don't like it as well. besides, hard to pass up 305 hp/300 tq on an awd 6MT system.... leather, dual exhaust and probably about 18 mpg! LOL. oh well, there is a trade off for me to have my speed... and even at that it won't be as much as what I run now in the Leggie. So... next winter I'll have my build project for the new car. Too bad it won't hold as much in it as the Vibe did, so that is a bummer, however it will hold more than what I can now and that's what really matters!
looks good man, not a fan of them cause they dont cover up the top of the engine like the oem cover does, but unless you go farther and polish up the top to match, which would be sweet

This guy found a polished valve cover and intake manifold!Too much shiny for me. For what I have now is pushing it I think. I liked Triton's blue covers from a few years back, but I didn't see that as an option offered anymore. Triton's covers

ya that last pic is a little to much shine, but i was just saying the cover part so it flows better, instead of just the chrome top part and bottom part but leaving the cover un chromed, just my opinion
I finally put on the VVTL-I emblem I bought on eBay. I was a bit hesatant to drill the holes for the alignment pins but thought what the hey. Also installed an Optima Red Top as well. In fact, you "might" wanna remove that stuff so any sort of salt doesn't eat it up... Looking good, can't wait to see it all cleaned up...

Not all that inclined to wash the car now. Some computer models for weather is projecting -40C next week! Yikes! As for salt, I'm not too worried about it. I can't drive it now anyways so it won't be exposed to salt. The alley leading up to the driveway is too steep and covered with snow as well as the driveway. I'd never be able to get it back up to where I park it till the snow melts.Even when there's no snow, the loose gravel makes it a bit tough to get up there. Alot of what you see that needs to be cleaned up is dust that gets kicked up whenever I drive up the gravel alley/driveway.

A closer up shot, unfortunately some frost has formed on the engine so it doesn't look as sharp. Oh well.

I have noticed that the vibe takes a lot of dirt and salt into the engine compartment. 1st car I've owned that did that. Usually it just gets to the front radiator brace bar.
