Fuel Filter change?

Post by mattlikeshockey »

I cant seem to find this in my manual. When do I need to change my fuel filter? In past cars It was done between 60 & 80k. Just wanting to make sure i keep my 04 vive GT running in the best shape possible.

Its located with the fuel pump in the tank and a service free item. Basicly no need to change.

To HiJack for a moment to think out loud. Would it be easliy feasable/adivisable/adventageous/cost effective to put an in-line filter with easier access?

while I see your thought process, there would be no point since the pump filter *should* be catching everything. Id think it could slow down your fuel delivery maybe. I guess if you some how removed the filter on pump, and added the inline, yes, it would be an easy change. But a lot of work for a part only changed every 75k miles.
