Thomas Hardys Ale

Post by Scootman! »

I have a bunch (20 bottles or so) of this ale and was wondering if anyone has ever tried it before. The batch I have is from 1998 or 1999 so it has been aging for nine or ten years. From what I understand, this ale (barley wine) can age up to 25 years with the flavor changing the entire time. I am just courious if this stuff is any good or not.

I have never had Summit before but I have heard that it is damn good. I'll have to keep an eye out for it and if I see it I will try it out!

It was good. I had the Pale Ale, India Pale Ale, Winter Ale, & Pilsner. Each one was better than the previous.....hmmmm, I wonder why???
