Idler pulley for 1zz s/c

Post by kevera »

I just read this on 9thgen,but I figured that I should pass this along. There is a new design for the idler pulley for the s/c,and because TRD does not sell them anymore. If one of you guys buy one, post a pic up so we can see the difference."Please make sure to mention you were referred by Tim Tran when you contact the vendor. PSE has been contracted by TRD to redesign the flaw of the idler pulley and assembly made for the 1zz TRD supercharger.PSE Superchargershttp://www.pse.usboostusa@sbcglobal.netPhone 877-349-0790Contact Ed or Marlene - Tell Them You Were Referred By Me!P/N TRD7918I - $110 - Idler Pulley + Assembly for 1.8L TRD SC for 1ZZFE "

I assume this is the pulley at the end of the supercharger itself, but what are these problems mentioned that require it to be replaced?

No it's the pulley assy. thats attached to the alternator. Prone to early wear & breakage.

What he said.Because if you see the grease leaking from the bearing,it's time to replace either the bearing or the whole assembly before it wears the idler out.For a while there was no replacement for the idler,so at least now we have an option.

Just ordered this today.Contact info:PSE Superchargers405-844-2773 Ext. 101Just tell them what you need. If the front desk ladies don't understand just ask to be transferred to Edward Martinez. He knows his stuff.$120 shipped. They also tried to sell me a new belt tensioner, but they wanted $150 for that. I know I can get it cheaper.
