Insurance ?????

I bought an used car for my gf, a Ford Escort 95.So I got prices for insurance and I'm wondering if I have to choose the full coverage for $650/year of only coverage for fire/thief/vandalism for 400$/year.

In Ontario you need PL & PD (Public Liability and Public Damage) to operate the vehicle on the road. Fire/theft/vandalism isn't enough. It only covers your vehicle when it is parked or stored.Collision is another matter. If you want to have the car repaired/replaced by the insurance company if you damage the car you get collision. Otherwise the other persons insurance company covers you if it is your fault. Does the $650 include collision?In Quebec, don't know how that that works, but it must be similar. Hope this helps.

Sorry I was not clear enough in my 1st post.I mean got insurance PL and PD plus Fire/theft/vandalism for $400 or get the full coverage who cover they other vehicule and her in a colosion for $650
