TIRES opinions and options

Post by MaxxVibe »

Well as im more than sure of..............this topic has been reviewed, replied to and driven in the ground as well as many other topics of this nature. But, this is what forums and discussion boards are for right?? So, with that being said and now out of the way LOL LOL! Whats everybodys opinions on tires? That may be too broad to start the topic discussion but, what im looking for as for information is real life experienced opinions from owners of certain brand tires that can give some performance based information as well as mileage and looks factor to this discussion. In other words, based on the information thats provided to this topic, i will have a wealth of knowledge from branded tire owners as to what tires seem to be best in mileage, wearability, looks and performance..........and will give me some serious input into what tires i choose to go with. Keep in mind the tires im looking to purchase will be summer use ONLY. So, lets hear what you guys have to say about your tires and your likes and disslikes about them. Thanks for your input i appreciate it. John

I have KUMHO ECSTA Supra 712's for my summers.I have nothing but great things to say about them. They handle wet weather superbly, and are great at cornering. It also has a rim protector in the lower sidewall to protect my rims which don't have a lip.Kumho FTW.

I've owned the Kumho 712'z in the past to, GREAT tire, I actually owned like 3 sets of them!!! I think they are phasing them out for the SPT now. Kumhos are hard to beat in the "bang for the buck" category. If you are looking for just summer performance, does that mean that you have winter tires, or simply don't need them... ?? I would personaly NOT be so concerned about treadlife (even though something like he Kumho ASX(IIRC) is a higher mileage A/S tire, but I don't like A/S tires, i'm a summer/winter believer... I have preference with Falken ZIEX 512's and they suck, i won't buy them again... What are you leaning towards for tires?
