hey faultline, i've been thinking about using a regular FMU ever since the Digital FMU jumped from $250 to $400. What do you think about this schematic? i'm guessing this is very similar to your setup, but you don't have a return line. with this method the inline pump would be full on all the time, with the fmu pinching the return at increased fuel pressure.please advise

hey.. sorry ...been busy.... Yes i dont have a retrun line....and yes I am not talking about the fuel set up right now...and no ..my car is not running right now, but will have it on friday. um...what about that Intercooler?? and oh yeah....on your schematic..why not have the pump come on only when the boost comes on? have it trigger on via manifold pressure like the Fmu?..like you were before? I though that the only diff w/ the digital Fmu was the slideing adjusters..

hey i dont know were your inline pump and fmu is but if your running another line from the gas tank why not just corvert it to a return line setup with a regular fuel pressure regulator at the fuel rail. its probably the cheapest option, and almost anybody who knows how to turbo a car should know how to do this. that way you have a proven no suprise setup for less.
look my sniggies, i had a strizz-oke in my brizz-ain okay, you know what im saying. so i cant move all good. but thanks for mentioning that .thank you very much.athf4evr. click here! you know you want to!!!

the reason why a return conversion is difficult is because you need to get a regular fmu for vacuum conditions, then you need a rising rate fmu for the boost conditions. you might as well just spend the money on the digital fmu.hey faultline, hope all is well with you, if you're curious, I'm just going to save up a bit more and get the digital FMU since it seems like the most sure way. we should get together sometime once i'm finished.

......a regular fmu for vacuum conditions?? I thought that fmu by definition=rising rate regulator! If you do the full return fuel line conversion, you will need the fmu to increase the FP during boost, when not under boost , every thing runs like stock...why the second fmu?....I take it stafford did not get back to you about his 500.00 sys?? you just need fuel line in, then fuel line out to fuel rail, a vacuum line to manifold ....then go.....!!

you forgot about the "three wires" you need to hook up. im thinking this must be some kind of boosterpump and regulator assembly given the clues.and seeing as how you dont need bigger injectors or fuel pump.if it works as good as they claim this would be the best setup. do they have a warrenty or garuntee on this this.you wouldnt happen to have an a/f graph of ratios under boost would you???

wow!!! I can see you have done some home work from other boards! .... you need to understand that my car was the proto type for all these 1zz kits that they are doing, so as far as all the waaranty stuff, I know that Stafford will warranty the turbo what ever Garrett gives him , which I believe is 1 yr....He once said 3 yrs for the manifold....But the fuel sys??? dunno???...I believe he will have some officiall time...but dunno...?? and ...No . , I dont know about the A/f ratios...MatrixT has the guages on his set up...has put 4000 miles on his car...but , when I picked up my car from the shopp,....I asked Mike to leave all his guages on, so I could watch them while he drove around....and it all lookded good..OP,boost,fp and a/f...and etg...my dyno only shows power to the wheels...I plan to ge the A/f done for my own satifaction...and like a million other things...will post these later as well...

btw, the fuel sys needs to be bullet proof, becuse if it screwws up....it is detonation time It is all pneumatic and mechanical, so it must do what it does , and cannot vary, the fuel delivery is boost dependant , if it erros at all , it would be runn ing rich, he uses the same set up for all returnles sys, he recently did an altima..
