Head Light Problem

Post by 04Salsa »

I recently purchased a 04 Vibe that I love. However, after driving it at night I realized something is wrong with the Driver's side headlight. While it gives a lot of light it doesn't seem "aimed" or adjusted correctly. My wife has a 04 Matrix that I am comparing it to - the lights seem identical, yet her lights are great at night. It seems my drivers light isn't concentrated at all but the light beam is "scattered" with no real area of concentration like hers or my passenger side light. Does anyone have any ideas - I am considering taking out the battery to check the seating of the bulb, but I don't know if it could be put in wrong???Help

I've replaced mine, they can be improperly seated, and that would cause the kind of symptoms you are having, so I think that would be the best thing to check first.

Also be aware that the Matrix has separate hi/lo bulbs, whereas the Vibe has a combined hi/lo bulb.I was amazed how well the Matrix lighting works in comparison with the Vibe lighting.Adjusting the aiming of the headlamps is not hard.http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=20126
