parts compatability between Vibe and matrix

I have been told that all parts are exchangeable but have sinse found that the alternators are not the same. Can anyone give me an idea of what parts are compatible. Right now I am interested rear brake roters (03 Vibe GT).

welcome to genvibe!the alternators between the same engined vibe and matrixs and corollas should be the same. the GT vibe = matrix XRS = corolla XRS = 2zz engine. those could have a different alternator than the 1zz base vibe/awd vibe and matrix xr/base/awd and corolla base/S. so just make sure you get the one for your engine as i am uncertain if the alt.'s are diff between 1zz and 2zz....

I thought the alternator was the same But I know for sure the air conditioning compressor is different on the Vibe and so is the serpentine belt. Also,the cabin air filter is different on the Vibe and the Trix.
