I added a few little things to my car today. Another MO member posted up some pics of a little product he found at Pepboys and used them to cover up some scratches on his front bumper. I had a completely different idea for mine. I was always intrigued with the Vortex generators on the Evo's so this is what I did Total cost $10, time, a couple hours, involving sanding and paint(diffusers come silver) some measuring and installing. here is what the other MO member did with his. http://matrixowners.com/index....&st=0

YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
have you driven it yet, since installing them, do you notice a difference in sound? i dont expect anything since most spoilers dont do anything but thought i'd ask
No difference in sound, but did gain about 16 HP and 8 Ft lbs torque J/K Its just a visual thing, hoping maybe to aid in keeping the rear window clean, but really not expecting it.
Interesting, but they arent doing you anyting... Vortex generators on EVOs are to increase the turbolence that gets directed toward the rear wing.. supposidly increasing the effectivness of it... much discussion on it on my Subaru board.. The hard try fact it, under 120mph, it aint doin much...

I don't mean to speak for him, but I'm sure that they are just for looks. They look pretty cool IMOPS MY 100th POST! YAY!
I would say they look OK... BUt, some thinner 2 sided tape would make tham look a LOT better... they look like they are on STILTS... lolNot dissin.. they just look odd being so far off the surface..
This is just a visual item, not intended for any other purpose. I had no control over the thickness of the double sided tape. The picture is really close up and shows clearly the height they sit up, step back a few feet and that goes away. I was not trying to create a vortex generator just the illusion of such. Well worth the $10 I spent getting them. Just an inexspensive add on that I think adds a little something to an otherwise nothing area.

I think they look pretty good. I would try to glue them down with something water resistant. The foam tape is going to loosen when driving in heavy rain and you will lose them.
