Tranny & Rear Diff Service

Post by BlueCrush »

My vibe started making some noise from ther rear differential this morning. I'm bringing it in tomorrow to get serviced. Hopefully, it's nothing major. My Bumper-to-Bumper warranty just expired last week, but luckily I do have an extended warranty. It has a deductable though.

if you have gotten most of your services done by the same dealer they usually would extend you the courtesy of covering it under warranty.Keep us posted B.

Good News. The rear diff has some minor wear but nothing major according to the dealer. They changed the rear diff fluid(?) and the noise is gone. They said the fluid looked a little low and may have contributed to creating the noise. (It was kind of a "whurring" noise, btw) There were no leaks either. So, now I'm good to go.

Thanks, guys. I am very glad it was only a matter of getting the fluid changed.
