What do you use to protect your front end?

Post by ~MRVIBE2006~ »

Since I got a couple of nasty chips in my hood, I am now looking into front end protection for my baby. I have seen various modes of protection:Full brasHood brasBug protector3M Clear protectorA magnetic bra (very interesting!)And some like a good coat of waxI would like to get something before the winter months come up. I kinda like the looks of the magnetic bra and some of the bug protectors. Any thoughts?

i was thinking of the 3M clear protector my self..i hate the bras..they look retarded and if you're not careful can make your hood worse then a few chips...sand or anything gets underneath the bra..and with all the vibrations and such it actually scratches the car badly after a few years and if salt gets under it without you knowing..good luck trying to keep the hood from rusting..thats my 2 cents from previous experiances with friends cars

We don't have anything on the Vibe, but have the magnet bra on the Murano. From the calling around I did when I got the Murano, if you already have chips, you won't want to get the clear bra unless you fix them first. I was told the clear bra makes the chips look even worse (although would obviously prevent them from getting worse).I'm just repeating what I was told by installation companies - no experience myself.I've had no issues with the magnet bra. It stays on tight, and nothing gets underneath it. I like it for the price I paid.
