Has anyone turbocharged or supercharged a GT or XRS?

I have a 2003 Vibe GT and was wondering if anyone out there has successfully installed a turbo or supercharger on it?! Reliability? COST?!

You won't find too much info here on that.But there have been a few matrix and corollas that have done it.The problem with the 2zz is the compression ratio,it's high.But look into rotrex for the s/c,and hass for the turbo's.But be aware none are cheap routes.http://www.turbo-kits.com/matrix_turbo_ ... otrex.com/

there is one currently being worked on as we speak. The owner wants it to be a supprise to everyone. It does take some work but it can be done. Turboed that is.

there was 1 or a couple turbo'd xrs's over on matrix owners. and I know a viber here has the turbo....but it wont be done for a little while.

i'd love to have a turbo kit, but that hass one is quite expensive

Ya, I believe the Turbo requires internal modification because of the compression, otherwise you'll have to run such a low boost that it wouldn't be worth it. Some people have successfully fabricated the Celica GT-S Greddy Supercharger to the Matrix XRS but I heard it's a pain in the (removed).

well in that case..i might just get the super charger..just would love a turbo and the bov..dont know what it's about but it sounds nice when shifting...i drove an 07 or 08 mazdaspeed 3 2.3 turbo..and loved every second of it
