Anyone else had an annoying clicking coming from the Dash when the A/C is not on reciculate?

This just started today. There is an annoying clikcing coming from dash in the same general area as the passenger side Airbag. It clicks for 9 seconds and then pauses and clicks for a tenth and repeats, constantly. The only way to turn it off is to turn on the recirculate air. I am sure it must have something to do with the relay on the recirculate door. Has anyone else had this happen. After month's of telling everyone how great this car is and how it's never been to the dealer except for scheduled maintenance, looks like I will have to eat my words. If anyone else has had this happen, and had the dealer fix it, any ideas how much it will cost. I am not all that handy, so I don't think I want to take apart the dash myself. Let's see, brakes just went after 65K, tires, still original need to be replaced, and now this. I wonder if I can use this to convince wife it's time to trade the Vibe in. Problem is, I still like this car, and nothing else on the market really has me wanting to shell out more every month...Ok, looking down two posts, I see someone else is having the same problem and many others here have had it as well. Guess I haven't read the forums for too long.. Anyway, anyone have and ideas how much the dealer will charge, or is it really that simple for a non-techie to work on. Taking off the dash scares the bejesus out of me.

I was just going to tell you to look at my post. Turns out that removing the dash is not that hard. There is a link in my thread to step by step instructions. The only thing I didn't do from those instructions is I didn't remove the fuse. My fuse box looks different than what is pictured, so I only disconnected the negative terminal from the battery. Make sure you have a socket set with 6mm socket or SI equivalent. The actuator that is making the ticking noise is screwed in using two tiny screws. If you want to save money, then do it yourself. The actuator can be bought online for $35. Good luck

My Vibe has this A/C problem, along with a faulty clutch at 47k miles, along with an exploding driver side window. TRADE IT IN!!! The clutch = $1200. The window.....new regulator being installed = $400. Owning a 2nd reliable vehicle so I can blow up my Vibe = priceless!!My mechanic says it's probably the pump. Personally, I don't care!!! I just want to torch the thing. I can't afford to keep sinking money into it. And that's exactly what I'll end up doing if I can't find some sucker to take it off my hands.
