Armor All doesn't fix scratches. Stop allowing sharp/rough objects from touching the door panels.

I scratched my door panel already too. it seems Vibe's door panel is very very easy to get scratched.I also scratched both front little "silver" colored plastic (that covers power window switches). I was spraying scotchguard on the door panel, got some on the silver plastic. next day tried to clean it off with 3 different cleaners. didn't work, so I used an pencil eraser, scratched them up pretty bad. where can I find new pieces cheap?

I guess I've been lucky. No scratches at all. Replacement parts fron the dealer are you best option since the car is so new. Or eBay.com

You can paint interior panels to cover scratches. The dealer may even have a color match paint. They do this at assembly plants when panels get scratched after assembly, rather than change the whole panel. Just a very light spray does it.

You could also go with the overlays to cover the scratches.

is the silver trim originally painte? how about the door panel, should I try lightly paint over them? it is very difficult not getting scratched on rear door panel. I often carry things with rear seat down. with either my bike or junks in the back. take the offramp a little too fast, bang!! rear door panel scratched. I must say it scratches very easily comparing to other cars.on Scotchguard. how do you remove the overspray?

quote:Stop allowing sharp/rough objects from touching the door panels. This is really the best approach but hard to execute! My wife likes to use her foot to kick against the door to swing it open so she can use both hands to carry her purse and whatever else. There are now about a dozen scratches down at the bottom of the door. And then my 11 yr old was putting her feet on dash / glovebox area. I had one of those "We need to take care of the car to keep it nice" discussions, which made me a popular guy!

I have also had to have this conversation with my wife after she was flicking ashes out the window and they were flying back in. She was did not take it well and had to point that even though it was my car, it is "our" money that bought it.
