Hit my first CEL at approx 23,500 km (15,000 mi) - it came in shortly after the start of my drive last week - unplugged the battery and it went away. Came in again this week shortly after the start of the drive to work. Taking it to the dealer tonight to see what the code is.- - - edit - - - Just realized that this is probably in the wrong thread...
i just got mine about a month ago, im being lazy and havent gotten the codes pulled yet but im sure its due to the intake i put in but i have about 24,000 and had around 23,000 when it first hit.
Fortunately this happened before I installed the intake. It won't be in until the 21st of the month. Had it come in after, that's probably what I would have chalked it up to.
Here's what GM said, and I quote:"Found code set in history #P0133. Checked with GM, they are aware of the problem, no known fix yet. Cleared code, took for test drive. Code didn't set again. Customer to bring up next appointment if sees light come back on."Anybody else had this code?
PO133- O2 sensor circuit slow response(bank 1 sensor 1)This would be a problem with the first O2 sensor, the one on the exhaust manifold. It's an easy fix, especially under warranty.
Update - So the CEL came on again, (about 3 times - I reset it by unplugging the battery, but just got tired of it after a while...) at which point I took it back down to the dealer. Talked to someone who actually had an answer for me. It's a "set in history" code, and the computer is unable to clear it even though the issue no longer exists (or never did). So it just keeps popping back up. Apparently GM is working on an update for the computer to fix the problem, which should be out by mid-late october.
