My 2007 Vibe has a manual height adjustment on the driver's seat. When I raise it, over a period of several hours the seat begins to fall. Been back to the dealership twice and of course they cannot recreate the problem.Has anyone else had this problem, and how did your dealer fix it?
huh never had that issue, thats a odd one. But put it at the height you want, mark the top of the wheel with a piece of tape or what not, then go drive for a couple hours or in a day or two check the location of the tape/marker to see how far it moves, if it does move, show this to the dealer as that shouldnt happen...
I believe the seat lowering depends on ingress/egress of the drivers seat. When the left leg is over the left side of the seat, the seat cushion can be depressed enough to also depress the lever. A few repetitions (in/out) and the seat is noticeably lower.
On earlier years, the seat adjustment is done by roataing an adjustment wheel. On later years, it is some sort of pump lever action. Others have had a problem like this with the pump height adjustment, as if whatever pressure is pumped up to raise the seat slowly bleeds away, but I don't remember any of them posting about what they did to fix the problem.

I have noticed that same thing here. I was going to post this question here a couiple of days a go, but I didn't know how to phase it. I thought I was going nuts. Every time I get in I have to give the seat a few pumps. If it wasn't sinking my head would be sticking out of the sun roof by now.

Ask the tech to look at the hydraulic cylinder - it should be similar to a mechanism on an office chair (but not spring loaded). They should be able to check to ensure it holds compression...

I keep mine dead bottom all the time, feels weird when I raise it up. Jack it up one day, put some weights on the seat (equal to you) and get some foaming spray like window cleaner foam or something. Spray it around the cylinder and check for any air bubbles.
I have the same problem with mine, which is a 2006 with pump lift. Over a week or two it will drop 2 or 3 pumps. I never went to the dealer because It would be a waste of time because the gm tech would pump it up , check it in an hour and say it didn't move.
Believe it or not I know exactly what lorne is going thru I like to sit a little higher (3-4 "pumps") and over time, usually when I get back in the car the next moring, I can pump it down 1 time and it's at it's lowest height and no... I'm not a fat (removed) haha
Thanks...I know I am not nuts.Have been watching how I get in and out of the vehicle.....it is possible my left leg is brushing the leaver when I get in and out....but that is how my chiropractor told me to enter and exit a vehicle.Looks like a design flaw that they will never agree to fix....am resigned to pumping every morning.
