Mother's b/f just got a Ferrari 599. He brought it over today to take my mom out to lunch.Anyways. Has a V12 and a Tubi exhaust system on the way so I am really excited to hear what it sounds like after that is installed. Carbon fiber interrior, racing seats...an absolutely gorgeous machine. Pictures and a video below God I love Ferrari's SOOOOOO much. This one in particular has a dial you turn to bring it into "race mode" which he says is absolutely phenomenal. Once he gets the exhaust on I'm hoping to go for a ride in it.Also more on the Veyron he has. He told me today that there is an engineer flying in from France from Bugatti. I guess the Veyron comes with a mini hand-held computer used to give specs on the car and performance information as well as different settings and controls to allow the car to run in specific ways. So the rep. is flying in to show him how and what the computer does and works. He told me the only movement that car has done since he got it a few weeks ago was from one end of his warehouse to the other. Not even one mile on it yet. Once the rep shows him how the computer works he will be taking it out so I should be getting pictures and videos of the Veyron shortly. Maybe some inside information as well.

...wiping the drool off my keyboard...AWESOME!It's so cool that he can enjoy all his hard work to build the company in such a tangible way!You don't suppose he wants to ADOPT a 50-something car guy with some computer skills (and whose parents are both deceased)?
My 2003 Vibe Base Auto 2-tone Salsa "SalsaWagon" was built in May 2002. I acquired it in Feb 2004/Traded it in on a 2016 Honda HR-V in Feb 2018.
I did sit in it It was in my driveway, you think I'd let them leave without getting into it? HAHAHA!I'll just say it was like being hugged by a polar bear inside a space ship! Best description I can think of.I was with him when he bought it actually. He bought 4 super cars around the time of the 2005 NAIAS in Detroit. We invited him to the auto show with us (my mom and I) and because he bought those four cars, we were some of the few people Ferrari, Lamborghini, and Bentley let behind their gates into their displays to sit in all their cars and see them up close. I sat in the Gallardo the year it came out and I couldn't fit in it (removed). I fit in the mercielago though quite nicely.
Quote, originally posted by WaveAction »very nice, although i rather have the 355 marenello(sp) but any ferrari is amazingThe Maranello was only for the 550 & the 575, the 355 came as a hardtop, a droptop (spider) and a challenge (race setup). The 360 came as the same, hard, spider, and the stradale (spelling?). By chance does he have a F-40? (my favorite Ferrari)
Man, you've got it rough, you get to see all of these awesome super cars, touch, smell, lick them.... I couldn't imagine you might even get to ride in them.... Oh.. the mind cannot comprehend.
