Good Price for plugs

Post by Whelan »

A set of Denso Iridiums for $34+$5 S&H. Not a bad price if I'm not mistaken. I'm pretty sure that car uses Denso's stock anyways. I am getting the Helix in a few days and want to see if there are any improvements, so I have been keeping very close eyes and marking/noting my mileage and my power at certain RPMs. Then I will drop on the tower spacer. Then get some new plugs.

Advance Auto Parts quoted me $6.85 each for NGK Iridium plugs. They are made by Denso as are many, many other brands of plug.

I know Denso is owned by NGK from what I hear and read. But I also thought that the Denso was a bit thicker of a material on the electrode than say the NGK V-spark. Do our cars run Denso as OEM? or and NGK version.

NGK is ownedby Denso. Denso is a huge supply company like Delphi.I think the stock plugs are Denso but the NGK Iridiums are probably identical.
