Best Performance/Price Boost Question

Post by chemikalguy »

Excuse me if this has been asked before, but I'm new to the forum.I have a 2003 base vibe with no mods. I know, I'm slack. Anyway, I want to know what would give me the best performance increase for my dollar. I've seen posts about CAI systems by K&N, Injen, etc., but haven't seen any real performance data to see if they really do work. I read some of the spark plug/plug wire posts last night, and decided that's not worth messing with.Any one have any thoughts? Thanks! Scott

Supercharger! It'll give you more power down at the rpm range you drive at most of the time (where you can feel it) vs 2-3 hp @ 6500 rpm for a cai. Besides, the factory intake works very well as a cai, at least according to the intake air temp that my ScanGauge displays.
'05 Lava Tutone base, Pwr Grp, Moon & Tunes, 16" alloys, Auto.....Yep, it's gotta HEMI

Thanks guys! That's an awesome thread. I really like the Cosmo Racing products, not to mention the eye candy on their website! Scott
