I never got pulled over in the Vibe. Actually, it's been almost decade since the last time I was pulled over. All of my last 3 cars had tint, but always above the legal limit. No other mods, and definitely nothing that would be considered illegal. Never had any trouble with the law. The Vibe's probably the sportiest car I've owned too. But I tend to really stick to the rules, I'm likely considered a pretty big party pooper to you young folks. No fun at all, I don't care to be all crazy and stuff behind the wheel. I live my life at or below the posted speed limit. In response to #4, I spent a lot of time out and about at night as I worked nights for many years. I'd do my grocery shopping, go out to wash the car, or just go for a drive at 3 AM, never had any problems. I worked for a few years where I would come home at 3:30 AM as well. They may pull out behind you and follow you for a short while, but as long as you're not being a complete moron, they'll leave you alone around here. Just stick to the speed limit and don't do anything stupid, don't give them a reason to suspect you're up to something. The people I'ven seen pulled over at night are usually the people that probably deserved it. Yes, the last time I was pulled over was at night, and I was one of those who probably deserved it!

Lets see... yes I got pulled over and maybe I deserved it.1. I was driving2. just me3. headed to the raceway to race4. speeding5. 4 points and $115 or something like that.6. nope, didn't fight it. I know I was at least 10 over and he clocked me at 12 over.7. lesson learned, pay attention to speed limit signs. I thought I was in the 45mph zone which was one block away... lol and don't speed around corners. cops like to watch the other side.

it was $160 ticket. but better than a racing ticket... $300 and 10 pts with mandatory court appearance.*edit*and no, i was never pulled over or even looked at by the cops in my 03 Vibe GT. not sure why because i drove like a bat out of hell 90% of the time. LOL
I was driving up to the New Jersey meet last fall and was headed on the beltway around baltimore, i missed the right exit and ended up taking 695 the entire way around about 30 extra miles. I had just come over a bridge and seeing a sign that said the I95 junction was 15 miles..this kinda ticked me off so I started accelerating up the next bridge and came around the bend and there he was. Looking down I saw I was going around 85-90. As soon as i saw him he started rolling so i turned on my turn signal went passed him and pulled off the edge of the road. He came up to me and I "accidentally" gave him my Military ID instead of my drivers license. When he came back and asked for my Drivers License, I of course gave it to him, appologizing for the accident. He came back and said and I quote " Son today you're getting a warning, I really appreciate and respect what you do for our country, please slow down and respect the laws of my state ok?" and then he left

Yep. 50 in a 35 . He asked where I was going and I told him home from work. Had to go pick up a dead person. I am a funeral director and I am out at all hours of the day and night. it was 5 am. The norm is on a house call the officer has to wait on us to get there. I had seen him at a house before so maybe he remembered me. I was nice to him and know he is just doing his job. It is a speed trap where he got me but I should have known it is 35 and not 45 there. They follow me all the time. It is nice to know that they are on the look out for drunks. They might get someone one night that would have hit me.
2005 AWD What's your story? It's a wonderful thingMomma always said "Help that is not helpful, is no help at all"
Too many times to list details I will list them though if I can remember all of them.-At least 5 times for my old under-body neons-1 for the LEDs illuminating my stereo system-1 for rolling through a stop sign-1 Reckless driving (doing burnouts at the Dream Cruise a few years ago...and yes I managed to get a 10 sec. long tire-roast on the first one in the Vibe )-About 6 speeding tickets none over 5mph over though...at least in the Vibe -1 for curfew when I was 16-2 loitering tickets-1 illegally parked (for backing into a parking space, not kidding either)-1 warning for going 45 over (cant believe I didn't lose my license on that one)Some of those tickets were definitely a little ridiculous and most I can honestly say were, no arguement, from my own stupidity.I have a court date coming up this Monday for another speeding ticket I got on the freeway in a speed trap like 40 years ago and a second court date on the 30th for I think 25 over on my bike...which was such a ridiculous call it's not even remotely funny but I'm not gonna get into that.
I have been pulled over once in the Vibe and many times in my old Sunfire. 06 Pontiac Vibe- Me- Wife and two friends from Michigan- Going to Cedar Point from St. Joseph, MI- 80 in a 70- no ticket just a warning, the troppers hat flew off so I think he was a little embarssedI will just list stuff for this one.95 Pontiac Sunfire- 95 in a 55 wreckless driving- 82 in a 55 wreckless driving- 87 in a 80 wreckless driving- imroper driving- 2 driving on a suspended license, got out of one- illegal tint- about 30 illegal equipment, strobes and neons- violation of suspensionHad my demerit points on my license up to +21 points at one time, but now it is at -2 points. Negative is good and positive is bad. This was when I was young and stupid. I learned my lesson from all that and that was all in 2 to 3 years

Quote »now fast forward about a week and half...got pulled over again...this time for tire valve stem lights that flash green when you hit a big bump or go above 40mph..i was doing 34mph in a 35mph zone..must of been a bump....cop wrote me ticket for about 110$..........No, I would have to say you got pulled over NOT by the cops but, by the "Rice Patrol" "Tire Flies" or your funky lit valve stems are some of the MOST distracting things on the road... I say they are more dangerous than talking on the cell phone... People on the roads today, are a lot like insects when it comes to funny flashing lights... They seem to get transfixed on things like that and instantly stop paying attention to what it is that they are doing DRIVING..!!!!!!!I'm sorry, but if i had been the cop, i would have made you take them off and gently place them under a front tire and roll over them.... They have no business on the road and if i could go back in time to the point that the "brain" that invented them, i would have bishslapped him for the idea.... I am sorry, i'm not trying to THRASH you Wave, you're to good of a viber and have the coolest color car in the line IMHO, but them things are dangerous and you should know that, being that you are a EMT (you are an EMT right??)And NO, i've never been pulled over in the Vibe, BUT I DO HAVE A VIBE NOW as of yesterday..!!!!!! Storm Trooper, here we come...
yes i am an EMT and volunteer firefighter and i forgot to mention i wasnt driving with them on intentionally..i forgot to take them off...lol....the cop just told me to take them off when i got home....which shows you how much he really didnt care and was just after the money.....i wish they had them in steady burning amber....I honestly dont think a ticket would stick if you fought the fine then....the thing that makes me irritated though is that they let motorcycles drive around with lights on the side at night...theres one thats illuminated all blue that lives not too far away..what gives...i guess they just think that it makes it safer and makes em more visible...so thats why they dont pull them over...whatev
Got my first and only ticket with the Vibe last month when I was going 145 km in a 100 km limit freeway between Montreal and Quebec City.I was in a big hurry but I admit I was in the wrong and it was stupid of me to drive that fast to save some 20 minutes overall. Thought me a lesson. The cop was well hidden in a ditch out of eyesight until you get too close to slow down. Luckily I did manage to slow down to 137 - the speed he tagged me at. Going under the 40 km difference makes a big difference as far as fines go and points taken off.Got a 225$ ticket. Been driving slower since. Cops usualy tolerate 120 and under in a 100 limit here.
