dash light trouble

Hello there,First of all sorry if this thread already exist, but i didn't find answers yet...I have a little trouble with my car. the light of the defrost button do not work anymore. I'm not talking about the on/off light but the red light that turn on when it's night (I hope you understand). So is there a way for me to fix it easly ?Thanx for your help.Regards,Olivier

err i forgot where the defrost button is.. :s um its either the bulb behind it or a fuse. if you search you should be able to find the take apart guide for the dash to get to the bulbs. Welcome to genvibe by the way!

Did you pop the silver radio bezel(cover) off to see which bulb is burned out.

Yes, but i had no time to look more further... Will do it on next weekend...Are those lights simple bulb or LEDs ?

To be honest I think they are little bulbs.You will see them when you pull that cover off.It's real easy to take the cover off,just slowly pull it forward.

If you mean the rear window defrost button above the radiopull the radio trim bezel out. Seems to work best if you start at the bottom, pull it out, rotate the bottom up a little and worry loose the two clips on the topdisconect the wires and the cable that turns off recirc when in defrost modethere are two tabs that you have to press in to slide the defrost switch out of the trim bezel. On the side of the switch there are two bulbs, they look like screw heads. a quarter turn counter clockwise and then maybe pry the bulb out. On mine one of the bases was white, the other brown, the brown was the backlight, or, look at it, the bulbs should line up, one for the backlight, one for the indicator light to tell you when the defroster is onI have no idea what kind of bulbs they are, they are tiny, but they are not polarized, so I think they are bulbs, not LEDs. The bulbs are not shown in the interior light thread. If you figure out what kind of bulb they are, or where to get them, please post the source, part number , and price.
