CarFax......???

Hi all,I was wondering if anyone had acess to free CarFax (Mavrik?) I'm on the virge of getting a loan to get this......And I'm rather confident in the seller, but, we never know.... Anybody? care to help a brotha out... ?Thanks,Aaron

only thing i can say is be very cautious. whoever had that car most likely drove it just like you would.

I thought you already owned a 2.5RS? That one seems to be setup to be like the older STi's we didn't get. Unless that is one converted and tricked a bit more.But I assume yours is not as worked on.

Whelan,I do, but she is tired, rusting out on me, the motor is on the way out and i'm not in the position to want to try and fix it... It has SOME mods but nothing in the power area... This car was trying to emulate the STi of old (2.0l rather than the new STi using a 2.5l) But with a much better suspension. It was built for endurance... It's pushing STi specs in every way, it most likely would out run an avarage STi in a road course...

Very cool looking car. I am sure given it already weights less than the current STI, especially being only a 2 door that even with slightly less power it can run a newer one. Take it up against an Evo too most likely. Good pic, hope it works out for you!

If you're going to spend money on a car, best to fork over the twenty bucks for carfax! Better than getting someone in trouble who has a Carfax account when they look stuff up for you... Sounds far fetched but that has happened before.... Carfax won't tell you that the previous owner reamed the (removed) out of the thing though.

Well, it's looking as if i won't be able to afford it.... If the guy were to come down to 13k i may be able to, but i doubt he will... I can borrow 12,600 aginst the car, but would have to put a lien on one of my other cars to make the difference. Add to that full coverage on 2 cars and the payment, i just can't do it... So, i'm really hoping he'll come down to 13k, the guy is super nice and even offered that he was going to take it to a locak tuner shop and have it gone over to MAKE SURE that there wern't any issues with it... But, alas, i may have to let the dream die....
