Great website/forum! I've been reading posts in this forum for a while, and thought I'd add my own. But first, I'd really like to say how much different (in a good way) this forum is than my 'regular' "MyIS" forum. It's nice to see people with budgets, and realistic (read: legit) modifications.Having an is300 as my other car, I really don't want to 'tune' it very much, because, let's be honest, who wants a pimped-out, entry-level luxury car. Just drive it and enjoy it!Anyway...I recently purchased an 04' Vibe. It's got everything except rear discs and the GT engine. It's silver, and looks much better (in my opinion) than the Matrix (save the XRS).The good news...I've already managed to spend $2500 on the car (had it two weeks) with TRD lowering springs, TRD exhaust, and TRD CAI. All parts ordered and installed at HEFFNER TOYOTA in Kitchener, ON.The tint was done @ Solaris in Niagara Falls, ON. I'd like to mention that Solaris is the #1 tinter in Canada at this time. (not too shabby!)I've installed a DVD head unit, PS2 and LCD in the Glovebox, and a rear-view camera. That's about all I plan to do at the moment. I'll post some pictures soon, and maybe add a few DIY articles. (Part of my real-world job is to write process instructions, so...)Well, I look forward to spending many hours in front of the PC, looking at posts and meeting up with other owners.Chris
+1 for pics... The Pic Gods demand an offering...Welcome to the site. It's a super cool place to hang out and make friends as well as finding ways to make your Vibe narly. Enjoy!
damn the mod bug bit you early, and that's a good thing. what are your future mods??welcome to the family, have fun

welcome! make sure you check out the Ontario forums. we'll be down over Aug 10-12 weekend and hope to get a small mini meet together. I know Kevera just installed his spiffy supercharger and Blaqjaq also has a custom s/c on his vibe. i believe Arcsvibe may come down from Montreal as well, but we'll see.
I know, I know... It took a while for me to get the pic's up, but I've attached them to this message...A recap:TRD Lowering SpringsTRD CAITRD Exhaust7" Touchscreen LCD --> MP3/DVD/XM (no pic, just installed last weekend)PS2 in glovebox (again, no pic)Rear View Camera w/3.5" colour screen (that's right, no pic; just installed)I'll get around to posting those instructions, but I've only had one quick go at them when I was 'in the mood', and haven't touched them since...Thank you for the comments, and sorry about missing the Michigan meet. I might be able to make the Ontario meet because I'm off that week for vacation (starting this Friday!!!).Take care!PS - I realize that it's a crappy picture of the exhaust (just the tip with soap bubble in it!). I guess I could crawl under and take a picture of the nice, shiny 'can', but that'll have to wait. I have the old resonator-back system hanging in my garage as an ornament. It's for sale if anyone's interested!
Welcome. Sharp looking car IS300s are once of my favorites in that category. You're right though, you have to be very careful if you modify them as far as wheels and body modifications are concerned. They look amazing lowered with no other exterior modifications save wheels and MAYBE some minor things.Post a picture of that if you don't mind.
welcome to the familynice vibe, and like they said, the mod bug bit you quick! the is300 is a hot car. post pics of that too! i even like the way they executed the wagon design.

thanks for posting the pics. unfortunately, seems everyone is digressing on the meet on the 11th from the vibe/trix scene. guess we shall enjoy the Toronto Subaru Club none the less! you're still welcome to join us since we are only there for that week, however there is a big Sherkston Shores meet the Vibe/trix guys are going to that same day.
I can see why a subaru would be much better in Alaska than a Vibe! I would like to visit Alaska some day. One question though... Have you had head gasket problems with your Subaru? There are three co-workers of mine that either own or have recently owned Subaru's and each one has had major head gasket problems (turbo and non).Anyways... Can you give me more info on where and when you'll be in Ontario? Furthermore, can you give me information (or a link) to the Sherkston Shores meet? My sis' lives nearby Sherkston, and I'd like to go and check it out! I'm off from today (Aug 3 to Aug 13)Thanks!
