eh, no accounting for taste, I suppose.I notice he doesn't say what HE'S driving. As for the article's pics, it's clear the author has a bias against large vehicles, SUVs in particular. Personally, I'd take most of those over a Scion xB or a Pontiac Aztek. It's hard to take articles such as this seriously.
Boooo! No love for the Rondo, the douchebags. And poor HHR and Acadia too. (removed) does cnet know about CARS, anyway? Sheesh. Funny how someone in a comment mentioned how they're ALL ugly gas guzzlers - gee, how many people can you fit in a Rondo and Acadia - seven? yet still get like 28 on the highway? Quite a few of 'em on the list are gas guzzlers, but I can't say those two are...

lol...I could agree with that list. Some nasty cars. They should change the 2007 Escalade EXT to 'Entire 2007+ GM truck lineup' though. They ruined the look of the trucks. Glad the HHR is on there too, that thing is aweful. How could they forget to put the Aztek or the 'Money can't buy you taste' Bugatti Veyron on the list.

Honestly, even though the person mentioned the Vibe, I wonder if they meant the Aztek. I can't see how the Vibe has a look that someone would consider 'ugly'. It might not match everyone's taste, but...And a couple were ripping into SUV's due to gas - but what exactly does that have to do with looks? This wasn't about economics - it was simply ugliest cars. I have no idea how they have have the Element on there but not the Scion.
I can think of many cars that are way uglier than most on that list. As a matter of fact, I think that the HHR and Acadia are quite attractive vehicles.
I'd rock an HHR if there was better front window visibility for a tall guy like me and came with 300HP but yes... agreed. I can think of may uglier cars then their top 10.

My dad has an HHR and I think its a groovy little ride. The visiblity is a little low, so its hard to see stoplights sometimes unless you stop about 20 feet away from the light, but its still cool in my book. You can also haul a lot of band equipment.
Seems to me like they picked most of nastiest vehicles currently disgracing our roadways. I'd include the PT Clown Car in there too (esp the "picnic basket on wheels" convertible version), and though it's not currently sold the resurrected Ford Thunderbird gets my vote for most heinous thing on wheels.I'm sure the comment guy intended the Aztek. When I bought my Vibe, several people were suprised when they first saw it as they had been thinking "Aztek" for whatever reason.

Let's run down the list. In order of the slideshow1) GMC AcadiaI kind of like the car, sure it's massive but it looks very sexy to me.2) Honda ElementAWD toaster that can fold its seats dead flat, make a bed in the back and has a huge moonroof in the back. Great for campers and parking lot hookups.3)Chrysler AspenIt is kinda big brother to the Pacifica and really should not have been built. I actually think Chrysler may take it out of their lineup shortly.4) Acura MDXApparently they don't read many magazines or viewers polls. The MDX got some of the highest ratings by consumers and the industry for its new look. I personally think the front grille makes it look bad***5) Subaru B9 TribecaAgain, yes ugly, but they did redesign it so I'm not sure why they are using an older picture when the new one is different now.6) Chevy HHRHey, it looks much better than a PT Cruiser at least.7) Cadillac Escalade EXTHmm, big wheels, big fenders, lots of chrome. It def. says I'm rich when driven.8) Kia RondoFairly cheap looking but thats what Kias are for the most part, and I must say that for the price, space, etc. It's a hard ticket to beat.9) Audi Q7Are they nuts, they must be. Seeing a Q7 on the road is just a fantastic site, they are so crisp and clean looking. Again luxury!10) Nissan QuestI must say I kind of like them. A low floor allows easy access and loading/unloading. The skylights all down the sides are great and the features are way cool.
