The Exhaust Chronicles...Done!

Post by BlueCrush »

I had my 24" resonator removed and a Flowmaster Hushpower II Muffler installed in it's place. So I am running with no resonator and 2 mufflers (my other muffler is a Dynomax Super Turbo). I have finally found my holy grail of exhaust sound. There is almost no resonation on the interior of the car and it still sounds and feels great at part and full throttle. I am posting this so that it may save other time and money from having to go thru the same process. Here is my exhaust history over the past 2-1/2 years in order of installs:1) 16" Dynomax Super Turbo Muffler2) 2.25" piping, Magnaflow High Flow Cat and 12" resonator3) 2.25" downpipe4) 20" Dynomax Super Turbo Muffler5) 24" Resonator6) Resonator removed and Flowmaster Hushpower II Muffler installedMy final set-up is as follows: AWD header with a hollowed out precat. 2.25 Downpipe and all exhaust piping:Magnaflow High Flow Cat:Flowmaster Hushpower II Muffler:Dynomax Super Turbo Muffler:GM Vibe Exhaust Tip:Flames by Grafxwerks. lol

How much did the exhaust cost you? Looking to get mine done, just trying to get some rough prices.

I did mine in sections at different times. You could probably get a custom exhaust done for $350+/-.

nice... glad to hear that. some actually do not pay much attention to their exhaust systems.. i cant believe some can endure the annoying sound of a dysfunction exhaust and the thought that you're contributing to the pollution.
