7 WEEKS AND 4 DAYS LATER I FINALLY GET MY BABY BACK

Post by Shadow-Vibe »

Well as it states above it has been 7 weeks and 4 days since my rear end got smashed in. The body shop is finally done with the work and the extra goodies I had installed. They even did the extra work for free since it has been so long. Can't wait to get behind the wheel again, plus there is a show this weekend. Wish me luck!! I will try and take some new pics tonight so ever one can see the new work.

Well they repainted and mounted the mid-wing, painted and installed the side skirts, repair my silicon screw up on the carbon fiber roof rack covers, and painted the aerogear rear bumper I got, and I will install it later.

Withdraws more than you could imagine, glad my wife has one that I could still drive during that time, but her's is bone stock and no fun. Well I promised some pics so here is 2. I don't have my rims or rear bumper on yet, but they will be very soon.

Looks good You have the RKSport caps right? did you get them painted, too? Those skirts are a little low like I thought they would be. It'll look better when you get the back on. What's your plan for the front?

No the caps aren't painted, they are still carbon fiber, but when I istalled them I didn't like the gaps they made so put silicon selant in there to fill them, but it didn't turn out the way I wanted. Looked like I took a tube of caulk and tried to fill the holes. They did a much better job than I did.As for the front I'm trying to find just the extension spats, because I don't want to change to the 05+ front bumper like the kit does. No offense to anyone but I don't like the new grills. So if anyone sees them let me know.

The dealer was able to get me a top wing but they wanted over $200 for it. I'm sure they could locate the mid-wing if you'd like but the price might be around the same, and there is no guarentee that the paint will match and you will need to get it repainted. It's better to keep watch on the for-sale forums or e-bay. I've had mine for about a year now, but never had it installed, and it was red when I bought it.

Yeah I know. They are like a needle in a haystack, and when some one sells them I know there is 3-5 other people looking for them. When the rims and bumper get put on I will take some much better pics. Maybe this weekend at the car show.

looks nice. i had the top spoiler and sold the mid spoiler. wasn't a huge fan of it... i like the roof caps. makes the car look nice and clean. all you need is your rims on and some tint!

Well the rims are on, and I'll take some pics this weekend at the car show. Hope to see another Vibe there but I doubt it unless vibegtcouple shows up. I think him and I are the only two around this area that have something done to their Vibes.
