Wow! According to the article, a Dodge Durango purchased for $27,000 will only be worth $10,200 after only 2 years! That is some serious depreciation!
That which may be known of God is evident within man, for God has shown it to them, so that they are without excuse.(Romans 1:19-20)&nbspWhat do you want most in life?

this quote on page 2 seems to be applicable here, a lot of people have offered this adviceQuote »Still, those hoping to hang on to their autos for no longer than a few years have options. Kelley Blue Book recommends going easy on customization in order to maximize residual value.another interesting quoteQuote »An average vehicle will retain 35% of its value after five years, according to Kelley, meaning that a $20,000 new car today will only be worth $7,000 after five years.I guess I would like the car to be worth more after only five years, but since i plan to keep it until it is no longer economical to repair, I am not counting on any real resale value out of it.

Right on!I drove my Altima to the point where I felt guilty accepting $1,000 from CarMax. It never left me stranded, but if the noises were any indication, it was near it's end. Engine made pinging sound at idle, tranny made grinding sound in every gear, brakes vibrated while stopping. Any one of those, I would have had fixed...but all 3 plus 160,000 miles meant it was time for it to go.
