I didn't see another post about this, so I feel compelled to.Griffith Park, one of the largest urban parks in North America (4,210 acrea) and one of L.A.'s GREATEST landmarks, is going up in smoke as I type this. Since 1pm PST yesterday, 600 acres have burned, all because some ******* tossed his cig in the bushes while golfing. Sure, he tried to put it out, and got severely burned. Perhaps he shouldn't have done it in the first place? @!$%%!! This really hurts me, as I remember growing up and going to Griffith Park, the observatory, the LA Zoo...all that is still threatened today.Link to msnbc story:
