Wiring help

i am trying to wire my two in car neon lights to one switch. whats the best way to get it to work with out blowing the cig fuse? im wanting to get the power from the cig lighter above the shifter. im already runing my speakers led's off of the cig under the center consol.they were originaly made to be pluged into a cig socket, any help would be greatly apreciated.

You will be ok if you get the power from the cig lighter. neons and leds don't pull that much amperage, and if i remember correctly the cig lighter is rated for 15 or 20 amps.Right now, i am using the cig lighter that is in the center console, and i have a pocket pc, a phone charger, a gps, and two interior neons all on that.

i did have it like that but it wasnt until recently when i went to turn it on i blew a fuse (cig fuse 15).so im not sure if its wired wrong or what... so im ask any of you who know bout wiring better than i do.

the best thing i can so to do is run a #6 or #8 wire from the battery to into the car and put a distrubution block somewhere inside the car and anytime you need power for something u can just come off of that with like #14 or #16. you just need to ground the neons that you put in. Just come off the block and go to the switch and then go to the neons and then just find somehwere to ground them I used a distrubution block in my old car and i had a total of 12 neons, 20 strobes, and an underbody kit
