Just looking around on the net and I came across Earthquake sws and I was thinking could someone put in the 6.5 inch sub that they make in the back door? 1 3/4" mounting depth now would the magnet be to close or would this work?

Nope, you're good with that depth. I have Polk db650's in my rear doors...top mount depth 2". No window problem whatsoever.You'll need some kind of mounting brackets though or gut the OEM speakers and use those.

Just another thought....are thsoe Quakes recommended for free air installations?
