power outlet 115 volt fuse

My power outlet doesn't work anymore i would like to know where i could find the fuse for it. I've checked every fuse in the fuse box and could not find it.

it shoudl be the INV fuse, a 15A fuse in the under dash fuse blockTHere are two fuseblocks, one under the hood, easy to get to, and one under the dash inside the car, hard to get to. It's about behind the little bin to the left of the steering wheel, but you have to access it from underneath

i have checked below the dash and could not figure wich one it is for the power outlet. They seem to be all good after i check with the tester. Does some one have a diagram of which fuse is what

It would be in the manual or on the cover of the box.

from the 05 owners manualIf it is not the fuse, then it could be the relay. The switch in the dash provides 12V to activate the inverter relay, and when the inverter relay closes, power from the INV fuse is connected tothe inverter. The inverter relay is above the glove compartment, there are pics of it in http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=6403.Looking at your car domain site, your vibe could have all kinds of things knocked about, maybe it just is loose. Maybe all you need to do is reach up/around and push the relay back down into the socket. You have an 05, which didn't come with the 12V outlet in the center console, but even if you haven't added one, the relay for it should still be there anyway, right next to the inverter relay and the tail light relay, all three the same part number, so you could swap those two relays to check if it is a bad relay.

ok, sorry to bring back a dead thread, but i didnt want to start yet another one on the same topic.The outlet wasnt working, so i checked the fuses, and one of them was blown. I changed it twice and they are immediately blowing...what could be causing this?

Sounds like something is drawing too much power somewhere. Is anything still plugged in? Anything else tapped into the inverter power wire?

no thats why im so confused...i put in the new fuse, plug in my phone charger, and bam...its blown. And i have never tampered with ANYTHING electrical in the car...yet lol

Does the phone charger work okay when plugged elsewhere. Have you tried plugging anything else to see if you have the same problem.For some reason the inverter may have developed an internal problem or there is a short in the wiring somewhere.
