not bad for a external not bad at all. I just got a 500gb WD internal SATA2, 16mb cache 7200rpm drive for like $120 I think. So when you add in the external case thats a good deal!
that is a great deal, if only i had money and needed another driveIMO, raid is useless, it doesnt protect data from all of the reasons i would want data duplication. reasons why duplication would be good, 1) prevent accidental deletion 2) advanced virus that cant be removed 3) data corruptiontoo bad raid doesnt prevent any of that, its only good if the drive physically dies, on a desktop pc, i've not had a drive die in like the past 8yrs. so basiclly a pc will be replaced before the drive will likely die. but since i built my pc nov 05, i've had corruption of windows 3 times
so what all do you think i should back up on my comp?? all i have on it now is my music, movies, pics, n a few documents. i'm not super smart when it comes to this stuff, so any help would be cool

It's definitely overkill, but I'd rather back up too much vs not enough. And drive space is relatively cheap! (compared to paying to recover from a damaged drive - most importantly digital pics)
