Speaker recommendations

Post by KNINE »

I'm almost embarrassed to post this after seeing the setup that HARMLESSV8 has. I want to replace my door speakers. I have a Pioneer HU with 50W output. I have no plans on installing amps or sub-woofers. I know, so boring . I'm tired of the flat sounding stockers and want to clean up my sound. Any tried and true favorites?

Thanks. I was looking at crutchfield also. I was hoping to get the opinions of some people who had aftermarket speakers in their cars to see what they liked.

Yeah, I think sound out of speakers is like HP out of an engine.... numbers are great, but can't tell you much. Some cars have 400 HP, and aren't that fast, while others have 200-300 and are fast. Same with speakers. You can get the best ones, adn they can sound ok, but maybe someone found some that are cheaper and sound great. It's important to have the numbers matching, but I would want to hear what others thought of the speakers too....So I think K-Nine is asking more of what do people have and what do they think of them, more than "What can I get".

I know, and I realize now that my post might have seemed harsh, or directed at you, but it wasn't. I am sorry for sounding that way. I was more just trying to agree with K-nine than argue. I am sure he is greatful for your help. Again, I am sorry.

I just want to point out that speakers are more than what everyone else has. It's about a collective system, they have to match the components powering it.I have a set of alpines speakers that are 220 watts, bass is great,I listen to rock music,I like them but they may not be for you.

i have a full Dual Audio set Head unit, 6.5" 3-way speakers, a 580W amp (will try to replave with a bigger one for the subs), and the dual 12" Sub system. Love the quality from the speakers, the bass is real good with the subs just need a bigger amp.Speakers Subs and amp Head unit

Do you think there is a noticeable difference in sound with the three way speakers vs the two way?
