fan problems still after I changed the blower resistor

When I bought it used I only had high speed and the one right before that. It was like that for a while untill one day the speed right before high stopped working so now I only have high speed. I seached, finding the older threads about the resistor. Thinking I found the problem I bought a new one from the dealer but it did not fix it! I still only have the high fan speed. HELP!!

the switch itself could be bad.
