Last week was pretty warm so I took the time and washed/waxed the body and detailed my engine. I had a CD playing and when I got to the pass. rear door I noticed that the speaker wasn't working. I quess my friend was right when he said it sounded a little flat. I also noticed that the weather stripping next to the driver side wiper at the bottem of the wind shield was giving way. And my alignment has been pulling to the left. So last week I made the appointment to get this done and an oil change. The soonest they could fit me in was today. My milage was over 11,000 miles and I had to run to Appleton this past weekend. Today I get to the dealership and they tell me that my car now has 12,011 miles on it and is no longer covered and they NOW tell me that they don't do alignments there. But I can go down the street and have someone else do it and if there are worn parts then I need to call the guy at the dealership. My speaker turned out to be just unpluged. They fixed that no prob. and they didn't do or say anything about the weather stripping on the windshield.Over all I'm not too pleased. Only 11 miles over and they won't touch my car. I quess it is my fault, but I always have the trip meter displayed and not the odometer.I did get a good laugh from the shop guy! Hehehe! I was waiting in the show room and I could still hear this guy yelling 'Oh my God.' when he opened my hood. PRICLESS!!

there is a clause in the owners manual about "good faith" repairs. if the appointment was made before it turned 12,000mi and it could not get in any sooner, i think it SHOULD have been covered according to the manual wording...but if your dealership is a bunch of jerks its up to the dealer to honor this type of repair unfortunately...call up the regional rep or zone mngr and see what they have to say have nothing to lose on the alignment at this point since they dont want to cover it anyway by the way, my dealership sez i have until 7,500mi to have a alignment done
are you saying your warranty only goes to 12000 miles? Or just the alignment warranty? If your dealership gives you grief, phone Pontiac directly (1-800-762-2734 in USA, 1-800-263-3777 in Canada) ... their customer support folks can get things done quickly when your dealer has their heads firmly inserted where the sun don't shine. Unfortunately, I know this from experience. HTH!

I think the alignment is covered within the first 12,000 miles.

coratz posted in http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=2616 that alignments are only covered under warranty until 7,500 miles. From 7,500 to 10,000 the dealer may consider a goodwill coverage if appropriate. Above 10,000 alignment is not covered. So you didn't miss by 11 miles, you missed by 4,511 miles.
quote:But back to the alignment, he drifted to the left last night and to the right last night, and it stayed straight. So I assme it must be the crown of the road that is doing that. And another thing that I ran into. He said my tires should have 44 psi in the tires since they are Good Year. He says the sticker on the drivers door is wrong, since it says 32 psi. I am thinking, hmmm is this another problem. Ha anyone have had the dealer tell them different from what I heard? IN my thoughts, it should be at 32 psi.I believe we have covered this before. As I recall, the AWD might have different air pressures front and rear. Recheck you label. Ithink it was 35psi Fronts and 32psi rears. Search for a thread last fall on tire rotation.
Sidewall pressure is maximum cold inflation number for the tire. Not the recomended pressure for driving. http://www.goodyeartires.com/kyt/readingATire/ (just picked goodyear because figure the name would be the web address)Check the label in the glove box.
