A friend of mine has an itrip by Griffin that she uses. And apparently likes it a lot. And you can probably find them for about half the price of that one on Amazon. The one she has plugs directly into the ipod and uses it's power. But I think they have three different kinds ranging from $50 to $90.http://www.griffintechnology.com/

If you are going to spend almost $100 for it, you should look into something that's hardwired in to your stereo--a lot of those cost about the same, and the sound quality is MUCH better, not to mention the fact that those also charge your iPod as they are being used. The transmitters--most of them anyway--plug in to the top of your iPod and will drain its power eventually. Just my opinion!

I'm a novice when it comes to opening up my stereo and connecting an Ipod to it Would it just be easier to get a new deck for a little bit more money?

Ipod2car rules!I have a ton of pics on how to do it to posting a DIY soon. Although I have an 05 Trix (different radio I think), you will see the mounting points and how to take it apart.
