Electric plug on Dash in Front of the Shifter not on 2007 Matrix
Appears this is not available on the 2007 matrix. Was it available on the older matrix base and XR or just the XRS? I was at the Toyota dealer this week and I noticed that the 2007 do not have the plug on the dash. This is standard equipment on the Vibe am I right?

Although I liked that it was standard equipment on the Vibe, it's pretty trivial to add to any car. I've had an AC outlet on the dash ever since '75 when I installed one in our then-new VW Rabbit. I took one of the blank plugs in the dash and reamed it out to accept a 110 AC outlet plug and a small hole for an LED 'On' indicator. Located the inverter itself under the passenger seat and ran the 12VDC and 110VAC wires under the carpeting to the cigarette lighter wires and AC outlet respectively. Looked like factory equipment - very similar to the Vibe outlet.
