New here...

Post by breezd »

Hey everyone, just thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Dan and I live in Southeast WI. I dont own a Vibe yet, but I'm actually in the process of buying one. I'm buyin a 03 Vibe GT, two-tone (Blk/Gry). Its got 61k on it and they're askin 9995 for it. I drove it the other day, and it seems to drive really nice. Compared to the 2 Matrix's that I have driven in the past week, this one is amazing. One of the Matrix's clutch blew while I was on the test drive... and the other felt like it was about to go.I'm not going to trade in my car (98 Ford Contour SE), I'm gonna sell it on my own and hopefully get 3k for it. With that 3k, I plan on doin some mods to the Vibe (body kit, CAI or SRI, sway bars, HID's...) I look forward to joining this group. From what I have read, and compared to other forums that I have been in for past vehicles, you seem like a cool group of people!

well, I've driven it once and it actually drove pretty nice. It was 100000x better than either of the Matrix's... I'm gonna drive it again tomorrow morning, and hopefully drive it home tomorrow night!

Welcome to the family. and just FYI with body kits there isnt much for the vibe as there is for the Matrix. we only have the GM body and the Psyco Vibe bodykit. im not sure if RKsport still has theirs still you might ask. but other than that there is alot more stuff for engine (Supercharger/ Turbo ) and intakes and exhaust systems.

welcome to the family. were the Trixes you drove xr-s models?? if not, thats why the gt is a million times better. as far as the mods go, i'd probably get a TWM shifter. i hate the way the stock shifter feels. i haven't driven one w/ that shifter, but i think anything will feel better than the stock one.p.s. now that you've joined us, there's no turning back now. muahahahahaha (yeah i been drinkin)

I'm just not sure how I'm gonna make it turn out with the two-tone... MRCN RCE- yeah, both of the Matrix's were XRS's. I must have just gotten caught with 2 bad ones in a row! After driving those two, this GT was a dream to find!

Well this morning i went to the dealer with my co-signer, got the credit app all filled out. Just a lil while ago the salesman called me and told me that 2 banks have turned down the application but the good news (hopefully) is that he's in talks with another bank right now that is seeming interested! *crosses fingers*

ONE WEEK!The VGT is GREAT! I love it! There's a couple things that I have discovered that need to be fixed, but nothing major. The front dome light (with the moon controls) doesn't work. Also, the plastic panel on the inside of the hatch has a softball sized hole that somehow I overlooked at the stealership. Other than those couple problems, everything is great! I have a friend that's gonna finish a fiberglass box and sell it to me. And as soon as I get the Contour sold, I've got a couple other plans for the VGT!
