WWE fans, The ROCK is back!

Post by Lancer »

My 4 yr old daughter LOVES watching wrestling (WWE RAW, Smackdown, and ECW). Her favorite is John Cena. She's got everything from a little belt, t-shirts, and even shoes. She's the one that got me watching it again. I used to love it when I was little.Anyway. Monday night we were watching it and the Rock comes on and says he's coming back to Monday night Raw.Kind of wierd, cause just a month or two ago he was on some talk show asking to not be called 'The Rock' any more. Now's he's back, raised eyebrow & all."Can you smell... What the Rock... Is cookin'!!

I was just catching up on the Von Erichs earlier today when I read this thread; sad sad sad I used to love the Texas Tornado (Kerry)I really wish WWE hadn't shafted Goldberg on his contract. Then again, he was at his best, most intimidating, and awe-inspiring during his first undefeated run thorugh the WCW, when they let him pretty much do what he pleased with his opponent.s He just wasn't the same later on -- due to stupid writers of the WCW/WWE, had him play nicer and acting more...what a beast he was. He and Brock. I know these are recent guys, but I found it entertaining when they were around, along with the Rock, HHH, Mick Foley, etc.ohh, I loved Taz when he actually wrestled for ECW. Rhino too...ECW was awesome during a time of old farts in the WCW (Flair, Hogan, Luger, Scott Steiner, Sting, Nash and others) and lame WWF lineup.Although, Ricky Steamboat was one of my favorites back in the day of WWF's "Saturday Night's Main Event". I would sit there HOPING it wasn't another Saturday Night Live EDIT: vid from Bill Goldberg's website: http://billgoldberg.com.ismmed....html

yeah Bill Goldberg and Brock Lesnor(sp) were a couple I always enjoyed watching wrestle. Goldberg was on his undefeated streak in WCW and Brock was destroying everyone and throwing around the Big Show like he weighted 5lbs and not 500lbs.

I could have sworn he died or something, there was a lot of media attention regarding him a couple years back. I'll have to google it and find out.*edit* can't view much at work but I googled him. Miss Elizabeth is dead and Lex was with her at the time. There was a big drug scandal. dang websense is blocking me from finding out much more.

Yep - very sad:Quote »Legal problemsLex Luger's mug shots in 2003 and 2005Lex Luger's mug shots in 2003 and 2005On May 1, 2003, Luger's girlfriend, and former valet, Elizabeth Hulette, died in the townhouse they shared in Marietta, Georgia after mixing pills of hydrocodone, Alprazolam (Xanax), and anabolic steroids (testosterone and sazien) with vodka. Luger was arrested later that day after a search of the residence revealed a number of illicit controlled substances, including anabolic steroids, OxyContin, synthetic growth hormone, testosterone and Alprazolam. He was charged with 14 drug possession counts, 13 of them felonies. He was released the following day on a bail of $27,500 USD. Hulette's death was eventually ruled accidental. Luger pled guilty to the charges on February 3, 2005. He was given a $1,000 fine, sentenced to five years probation and required to submit to periodic drug testing.[3]Luger was arrested once again on January 31, 2005 for driving under the influence. He was also charged with having altered or expired tags, no proof of insurance and of having an open alcohol container in the vehicle. In December 2005, Luger and fellow wrestlers Buff Bagwell and Scott Steiner were removed from a flight from Minneapolis, Minnesota to Canada. They were detained for several hours before Bagwell and Steiner were released, while Luger was held without bail as a result of two outstanding felony charges in the state of Georgia (he had neglected to obtain permission to leave the country from his parole officer). Luger was detained in the Hennepin County jail for two weeks before being extradited to Georgia to stand trial on December 22, 2005. Luger was sentenced to nine weeks imprisonment, and was released in February 2006.[4][edit] Trinity Broadcasting Network appearanceOn September 28, 2006, Luger appeared on Praise the Lord, the flagship talk program of the Trinity Broadcasting Network, and declared himself a born again Christian. In an interview conducted by Sting (the host of the program), an emotional Luger discussed the downward turn of his career and personal life -- including the events surrounding Hulette's death -- and how it led to his religious conversion.

sorry don't follow the whole WWE or WWF stuff. dated a guy who made me watch it Mondays and Thursdays though. :rolleyes:however, the only thing that was halfway interesting was teh Rock and some of the now big names in Hollywood. LOL. never thought they'd make good actors, but i suppose that's what they do: entertain, so why not on the big screen?

The Rock and John Cena are pretty good actors. I mean they act on the show, why not on the big screen? Triple H did a pretty good job in Blade III I thought.WWE has just gotten to the same stuff over and over. Currently there is a Trump vs Vince, loser will get shaved? That will be funny. Probably going to be Vince since Stone Cold is the special ref and he'll stab Vince in the back every chance he can get

(removed). well, i never was a fan of the wrestlers. but i really enjoyed Run Down. I didn't realize the Rock could actually ... ACT! and it was good, funny, hilarious. still haven't watched "the Marine" yet even though we bought it. Phil says it was pretty good though. I dunno, cause he liked Scorpion King and that was lame. No, DM means "No Holds Barred" featuring HULK HOGAN and Zues (Tiny Lister) - only one of the worst movies ever made! lmaohttp://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097987/PS I guess they were trying to capitalize on the newly-created rivalry between Hulk and Zeus (also the Federated Territorie's President in The Fifth Element (1997)).

LOLcoming from someone who watchs weird movies with magical crabs I laugh at that statement. Scorpion King was a good movie. Now The Mummy Returns (staring the Rock as the Scorpion King) was dumb. And any movie with Johnny Knoxville is going to be pretty dumb (ie Walking Tall) but I also enjoyed that movie.
