ipod2car installation - oops

so i was installing an ipod2car in my girlfriend's 2005 vibe (single disc cd player w/aux button) and now the head unit has ceased to function.i'm not sure what i did wrong at this point, but i did see a few threads on here referring to a radio theft-prevention system that will disable the radio until some security codes are used (see here: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=386 )- however i have seen other posts asserting that no such system exists on the vibe (here: http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=22918 )can anyone clarify this for me? i'd like to know if i just screwed something up during the install or if i need to take it to a dealer to get them to "reset" the radio's security feature.also: assuming that it exists, IF the radio's security feature was the issue, would there be any indication, such as "LOCKED" on the display or something like that?

There is no security system, you messed something up. Go over everything you did and you'll probably find it. Good luck.
