Is this some national thing?A few Tuesdays ago the people were working the bar and serving, and rumors were spreading of the closing. Well at 10:30 that night I found out that they were closing. Not in a month, or a week. That night!!!! I was hanging at Orange Ale House down the road when some people came in shocked. Out of nowhere these people would no longer have a job? Some went on to other bars and restaurants, others still moved back home with their parents since they had no money coming in anymore.Sad story actually. We have three near me, Trumbull/Orange/Hamden, they all closed right around the same time and with the same abruptness?I don't get it, I heard there was some kind of lawsuit between the co-owners and one was getting sued or something, but who knows? Do you? I used to love chillin at their bar on weeknights with all my locals.
My "food" experience with Bennigan's is that they should have closed 3 years ago.

We havn't had one for a few years, it closed one night and never reopened. This sounds like the way the Cooker Resturant chain closed, they closed at night, and never reopened, leaving hundreds of people locally without jobs, no final checks, ect....

Chili's lol. not a bad place but it does get sickening. One thing I love about where I live is we are not stuck with chains. There are tons of mom and pop one owner places that have such good food. Like Pepe's Pizza in New Haven, it made it on the History Channel American Eats where they labeled New Haven, CT as one of the best pizza places in the U.S.
