Makig slight adjustments to the Cargo Cover

Post by Whelan »

I will be tweaking my cover a bit. Removing the cross bars and putting L-hooks instead. Then using a few (3) door hinges on the bottom between the two pieces of board, allowing it to stay supported in the middle by those when in place and no cross beam needed which means a cleaner look underneath and storagewise. Then you can pop it off and fold it down so it literally folds in half for storage. I will tinker with it this weekend and see how it works. Pics to come!

remember those bolt locks you'd see in old houses or cottage washrooms?A steel bar that you'd slide across and then rotate the handle into a notch so that it wouldn't slide back...couldn't you put one (or two) of those underneath to help keep the joint solid when in the car and then slide them over to allow the cover to fold when storing.
I have signatures turned off so I'm not even sure what mine says in this space!
