Post by giomshadow »

Anyone know the roof weight rating with sunroof...with all the snow we've had...try to get it off as quickly as possible...but found the car covered with 15" of the white stuff this morning...thanks

I had more than that on the sunroof and it didn't cause any problems, my car had an afro.

Have never had any trouble with sunroofs here in Canada-and we usually get plenty of snow, so you shouldn't have to panic! Everything should be OK

You shouldn't have any problem with snow on your sunroof, as long as you clear the snow off the roof before you try to open it. Just kidding Sorry couldn't resist.I had Honda and Acura Sunroofs for 12 years. No problem. You want to always clear off your roof to help keep your rear window clear, whether you have a sunroof or not. Next winter I plan to take off the cross bars to make that easier.

Good point Frosty! I find it hard to remove snow with the cross bars-they grab my snow brush. (not that I have had to do that too often this year!)

thanks all...I took delivery of my Vibe in December in a snow storm...so I also have not opened the sunroof for fear of not being able to close it...
