Found My PADS!!!!

Post by Whelan »

Now I'm really psyched. Stillen makes a Metal Matrix pad for 03-05 Matrix/Vibe. I had these on my Saturn and Civic with Powerslot Rotors. Huge difference from the Hawk HPS, extremely low dust, no noise, and incredible stopping power with almsot no fade. I used to commute to school and had a hill before the exit, 90mph to 20 in no time flat, no fading and they still felt tight and secure once off the highway. The Powerslot rotor cools off fast and the Stillen Metal Matrix pad matches it perfectly. Also for $50 a set it's a reasonable price!http://www.stillen.com/product...&c=BRh ... /D823M.jpg

Once again I'll post this. I had a 1994 Saturn SL1 that I put second gen SL2 wheels on. Tons of cleaning, just look. The Stillen were extremely low dust. And I was able to get a minimum of 40-50K out of them. The cars were sold before I had to replace them, but the rotors looked brand new and the pads still had almost 1/2 left.

Also, the Stillen pad is a metal/ceramic mix (hence the metal matrix name) So it provides a good blend of metal pad wear and ceramic performance, doesn't take long to heat up and get to work. One thing I noticed when I used Hawk HPS, is that they took awhile to warm up to get to optimal working temp and they did not hold initial bite as long as these did.go to youtube.com and look up that name.In CA they did a news report about a product for cars called the whistler tip. It was a piece of metal welded inside your tailpipe that when driven made a loud whistling sound that could be hear for like over a mile. So they interviewed a shop that installed them and he was like all ghetto about it it was hysterical. Check it out!
