Source for '06 Vibe Electrical Manual?

Post by L8Apex »

I've searched the forum for "wiring diagram" and "electrical manual", and have only come up with snippets of the factory electrical manual.I'm trying to find a source where I can buy a copy of the factory electrical manual for an '06 Vibe, can anyone point me to a place?Thanks-Mark

You can buy a paper copy of the 2006 Vibe service manual from Helm, it's about $135 There is no Chilton's or Haynes manual for the VIbe that I have heard of, and those usually have inadequate wiring diagrams anyway (imho). There are various Matrix service manuals available on line, http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=1156 has a link to the 03 matrix manual, I think matrixowners.com had a link to a more recent matrix service manual. For 2003/2004 the electrical stuff should be identical, or nearly so, between Vibe and Matrix, but I don't know how silimar they are for the 2006 model year, depends on the systemWas there a specific thing you are looking for?

I'm going to add heated seats, I want to find the best point to connect to B+ to handle the current required by two seats.I also want to bypass the factory stereo amp under the passenger seat. After a doomed attempt to get a GM-SIR Sirius tuner working with the factory radio, I yanked the head unit and put in a sweet Kenwood EZ7000SR. While it works ok with the factory amp in place, there is a small buzz and the volume is very touchy, so I'd rather have the head unit drive the speakers directly.I plan on keeping the car for a long time (wife's runabout), so having a manual will likely be handy long-term.Anybody have a CD they want to copy for a reasonable price? IM me if interested.(Edit: assuming a CD is available like my other GM products. If not, I'll likely order the Helm manual.)Thanks-Mark

I would strongly advise against making an outright request for unlawful duplication of GM copyrighted materials. GM employees do frequent this site - both registered and not. No sense getting yourself into trouble. That being said, your best bet for adding heated seats is going straight to the battery. Tapping off any other circuit would likely overload said circuit.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

Yea, I could have put more thought into that. I recently bought a set of used GM CDs for my'04 Z06 like these http://tinyurl.com/36ahqz, I was hoping to score a set for the Vibe but I doubted anybody would have a set of used '06 CDs, hence the request.Looks like I'll order a set of the Helm manuals.I was thinking straight to the battery too, since the sig lighter is only good for 15 amps. I'll run it through a good Bosch relay connected to ignition to kill the seats when the key is turned off. Wife can't ever remember to turn things off.Thanks-Mark
