After-market deck or speakers creating noise?

Post by Imonaride82 »

Hey guys. I am not very good with the technicalities of the audio system, but I installed a Sony CDX-GT400 head unit. I still have the factory speakers. Anyways, when there is nothing playing, like when my iPod is not playing or when I am changing songs, or when I am changing songs on a cd, there is the, well, not static noise, but I can't describe it. I am guessing it is my speakers because my factory unit did that too, but will new speakers solve this or is it just unavoidable? Any help would be great!

Bad amp?? It is under the passenger seat. You can bypass it to check. I think Metra has a bypass kit that requires not cutting or splicing.
