Don't blame you a bit - too many people these days just don't respect others or their property. I live next door to a jerk also.

I can't access MO here at work, so it'd be nice if you repost it here - if you can't I'll have to wait a couple days as internet is down at home.

i'll do a c&p just for you engineertwin2c&pMan, this crap just burns me up. Just about all of my neighbors that live close by to me have no respect for other peoples property.Case in point, today.A neighbor two doors down owns a little dog..I too own a dog and let me just say I don't even let my own dog in my front yard let alone alow him to defficate in any of my neighbors yards. So, anyways, I have two little signs clearly posted in my front yard stating do not let your dog go to the bathroom here!In the past I have had to yell at others and today was no exception.Just so you all know, in my area you are not allowed to let your pet go to the bathroom on someone elsees property. If you have signs posted the offender can be finded as well. The signs that I have are not new they have been there for well over three years now.Well, my stupid a$$ neighbor was alowing her little peice of **** to use my lawn for a bathroom. So I open up the front door and yell out, HEY, CAN"T YOU READ!... she comes back with this lame excuse... I did see the signs and only though it was for the lawn. I say, no it's for the entire property.get this.. she then says, don't talk to me like that!I then yell out, I will talk to you however I dame well please your the one breaking the law! Your lucky I don't call the cops on you and have you fined! Keep your peice of **** dog off my property. Do you really think I bust my a$$ so people like you can **** it up?Now at this time my dog Andrew is growling at the door and weggs past me and down the front steps and starts twards the lady and her peice of ****. I see her get wide eyed and I yell out.. ANDREW! HEAL.. he stops just at the bottom of the steps and continues to growl. The lady says, keep your dog away from me!. I yell out he's just doing what he is sopoed to do keep trash out! She says again. don't talk to me like that.. I then give the command.. ANDREW COME! he stops growling and comes back inside the house standing next to me..I then say to her.. NEXT TIME it won't be so easy! With that I close the door.(removed) it wrong with people now a days.. does everyone have no respect anymore for other peoples hard work?I have my lawn treated so it looks like carpet and all of the shrubs are pruned to a "T".I walk my dog as often as possible. It's just that a WALK> exercise. Not a chance for him to mess on other peoples property.I just don't understand why some people, and I am sure there or quite a few on this board as well, think its ok for their dog to use someone else property for a bathroom. You wanted the dog keep the dog and the crap on your own property. Use the time for the walk as exercise not a time to go to the bathroom. I don't care if you pick up after your dog.. it still kills the grass, shrubs and flowers! No one can tell me it doesn't either!End rant..photos:when we first bought the house:a few years later:there has been improvements since that photo as well but you get the jist.

got one read fire... LOL but due to zoneing there is a required set back from the street. See we don't have sidewalks so the set back is there just in case the township desides to have the oweners put in sidewalks. I'll post a photo of that as soon as i find a good photo to show it.. Heck I might have to take a new one

You should try a little deceptive persuasion, mount one of these on your front porch and add a note to your signs "property under surveillance" http://www.fakecameras.com/sc100.htmIf local law bans dogs soiling your lawn and your neighbor knows it, a camera should discourage them.

and to answer millsters request about my profanity... i apploigize . I wasn't going to post the entire comment from the MO site cuz i know the rules here are to put it nicely, tighter. sorry! when your trying to convey a point of anger is sometimes necessary to use such wording. And at the time of that post the incident was less than 30mins old and i was still quite ticked off!I understand the "family" appeal of this site and from now I will try to curb my gutter mouth... So if anyone is wondering y he posted the profanity notice again.. it's cuz of me..sorry everyone

Thanks Keithvibe, for understanding, but it really wasn't just because of you. There were a few other posts today. And I could argue the "necessity" of such wording, but that's not the point here.

I have lived in the same place for about 23 years now, and the one house next to mine is a rental, so I get new neighbors every couple of years. Most of them have been reasonable. I find that it is worth the effort to befriend neighbors. What I didn't read in the posted exchange was that there had been an initial attempt to be friendly or to calmly explain why it was important to you, just a door flung open and a confrontatonal challenge issued. I react poorly to that kind of thing, if it were me, I would have calmly gone out to the lady, said hi, explained that you are really proud of your lawn and ask if she could help you by not allwoing her dog to dump in it. I doubt you will get any consdieration out of her now.If I had been her, I would probably have gone home and found my gallon jug of RoundUp©

Let me preface this by saying we live in a good neighborhood and have excellent neighbors. This is an example of how bad a neighbor you can truly get. We live in a neighborhood where for a few years this guy at our end of the street was totally crazy. He is no longer there, thankfully, he is now on the run from the law. I will just give you a few of the highlights of our time with this guy down the street. This guy would get so drunk that he would get out in his yard and fire his gun at "things" that were never there. My favorite night was the night he had the Miami Vice sound track on his car radio at 10000000-volume and was out in his yard "playing" Miami Vice. And yes, he shot his gun. By the time the cops got there (several of us called him in), he was gone or in his house with the lights off.He would drive up and down our street in the middle of the night at an extremely high rate of speed (the cops clocked him at almost 100mph and our street is only 20-houses long - he lost his dl, but that didn't stop him) with his music so loud it would wake you up. He would do donuts out in front of our houses, he was nuts. He got so bad that one of our neighbors who NEVER notices anything came outside to see what was going on.He made some drug dealers made and they put out a contract on him (no, I am not kidding - my next door neighbor works for the Federal Marshalls and told me what he could). He came home from one of his escapades one night and these men were waiting for him. Rumor has it that they were going to mess him up, not kill him. Any how, he freaked out and was screaming (you know that high pitched crazy kind of screaming, that was it, not normal screaming that you or I would do) and carrying on. He went into our neighbors yard and started throwing her landscape bricks at them. He then threw one of the bricks into his upstairs window and climbed up the front of his house with them in pursuit. He kept screaming and throwing things at them and we all figured they finally gave up and left. As they were driving off, guess what he started firing at them?Let's see, what else to tell you.He began "sampling" the friendliness of the girl at the other end of the street (was that clean enough?). Well, a child was produced through this exchange and it only got more intense. They would fight and argue because she didn't want the baby around him - and yet she would go over there, go figure. He started having "ladies of the evening" staying at his house all night and would then parade up and down the street the next morning in his underwear (I am still messed up from that one).Right before we saw the last of him, he jumped her (the baby's mother) father and tried to kill him. Another neighbor saw it happen and went after him. They pinned him down until the cops could show up. He went to jail and when he posted bond, took off.The sheriff became a good friend and we got to know his deputies by first name. Sadly, this guy is still out there and is now terrorizing other innocent people. A few months later his family showed up and cleaned out his house and now someone from his family is living there. They are so normal it is scary. So that's my story. I could tell you way more but I don't think the Genvibe server could hold it all!!!Hope your situation gets better and I agree with others, turn this person in.

In passing I have commented when they got their dog how nice glad to see another dog got a good home.YEARS ago when my wife and I moved in.. I invited everyone over to MY house to enjoy a BBQ. Most of the neighbors did show up and at that time I went threw the vast amounts of hard work I have put in the home and landscape. So everyone in about a one block radious is very aware of just how much i care about my property.Keep in mind this lady only lives TWO doors down. So both her and her husband and her kids I know personally and frankly haven't had an issue with till this day accured. In the past I have helped her husband pump massive amounts of flooding water out of their basement with out even a thank you from her or her husband it was at that point I cut my ties with them asuming they were just OFF.. you know what I meen?To give you and idea of just what nutty and bad neighbors I do have on both sides of me. case in point, I had my property surveyed in order to put of a fence. When it was finished... turned out my neighbors extended driveway was almost two feet on to my property. When talking with him about the situation, he understood and even helped me brake up the driveway and pile it nice and neatly on his driveway with the understanding that because he had a pickup we would share the cost of removal of the blacktop using his truck. He agreed. Then one night after working very late I come home to the pile of blacktop thrown back on to my lawn!@. After calling the cops and talking to them about it there was nothing I could do cuz I didn't see him doing it and if i was to return the favor and he cought me doing it I would be fined... FOR HIS BLACKTOP! So I had a buddy of mine come by with his truck and he took it off my hands. That's just ONE neighbor... the one on the other side of me is just as bad!I won't get into that story cuz it still touchs a nerve sometimes.I do get along with some of the people in the "hood". Like I said a select few are disrespectful. The reason I flung open the door and yelled is because it is well known in the neighborhood that I don't like the issue with pets on my front yard. Because of the lack of INTELLIGENCE of people around me I posted the signs that both are in English and actually shows a dog in the lifted leg position and squatting position so there is no confusion.

you could install a sprinkler system in your lawn, put up a perimeter sensor a la invisible fencing, and have it set to go off every time it sensed movement on your lawn other than just the grass blowing in the wind...that'll keep everyone off yer lawn. then you could turn the sensors off to mow or landscape as you needed.

We have never let any of our dogs crap on a neighbour's property. That's just plain wrong. When we take the beast for a walk around the neighbourhood, we always have a baggie just in case she needs to go.The people across the street are afraid of dogs, and even though they are idiots and have never shown respect or kindness to me or my family, I still wouldn't let the dog crap on their property, no matter how much they have pi$$ed me off.If this dipstick couldn't (wouldn't?) read the sign or is just too arrogant to care, then saying something like, "Did you bring something to bring that home with you, or do I need to deliver it personally later on tonight?" might have been a little less stress-inducing on you.I suppose a little yelling now and again certainly would get the point across too.Another alternative is the Me, Myself and Irene idea.Just make sure they don't have any security cameras, or you'll be famous on the net in no time at all.

The real problem is that the DOGS can't read! It's not the owner that's pooping in your yard!I am a dog lover, although we don't currently own a dog. We live in a great neighborhood, and MOST of our neighbors keep their pets properly restrained. From time to time, a load of dog poop appears in the back yard, 100' from the street, and 75' from the nearest sidewalk, so I know it's not a dog on a leash that's doing it.I've successfully used 'hot sauce'. I put it only where dog poop appears. I put several 'shakes' on the fresh poop, and wait a few days to clean it up, until it's good and dry.The hot sauce is 100% biodegradeable (after all, it's only vinegar, water, and hot peppers) and doesn't seem harm the grass.Once the offending free-range dog gets a whiff of the hot sauce, they don't come back for a long time!OK, so how do I select the right hot sauce? All my friends and relatives know I'm a hot-sauce capsaicin freak, so I often receive bottles of hot sauce as gifts. The hot sauces I really like are added to my 'private collection.' The sauces I don't like go in my 'Dog Poop' collection!IMHO the 98-cent a bottle stuff works just as well as the $9-a-bottle gourmet stuff.

Unfortunately, we have the problem of our dogs going on other's lawns as well. I always carry a bag to pick up said offense and have bottles of water to wash it away. I'm aware of the damage that "over-fertilizing" may do to a lawn, but make every effort to avoid it. However, dogs are going to do their business and most of them don't take well to doing it on the sidewalk/asphalt - it's in their nature to find and exquisite piece of land (so maybe it's a compliment).I have the problem that my neighbor loves to water his lawn in his boxers. It's been my experience over time that you get a much better long-term response with respect and kindness than with straight up abuse. While I do feel your pain, I hope that it doesn't lead to more trouble with you and your neighbors as the actions your dog took would be considered unprovoked "attack" here in Tempe and your dog would possible be quarantined until a decision had been rendered, specifically as your statement of not being able to control him would be directly taken as a threat. With all that said, please don't think I'm taking the otherside...rather, just trying to give you a different perspective and how things may be perceived out here in AZ...
