How do you prepair Ramen noodles?

Post by SeattleJeremy »

It's a great, cheap, easy to make food. I love the stuff. I'm at work, so there is no stove to cook it on, so I took a large ceramic bowl from home, put the noodles in, and add hot water from the water dispenser in the kitchen. A few min later (5-7), it's ready to eat. I've heard of people putting egg in, but I've never tried it. How do you like it?

I've never had them, but I remember during Frosh week in university, they were literally throwing them at us. I lived at home, so I never ate anything at university. Its just what I think of when I see Ramen noodles.

personally, i like swanson chicken soup slightly more than the mix that comes with the ramen...i just use 2 cups of canned soup in place of water, and nix the mix...tastes better than usual!

I cook them first, then toss them in a wok with some veggies, leftover meat, and soy sauce. Makes a fast, cheap stir-fry. Bachelor cooking at it's finest.

(stove or microwave)after the noodles are cooked, strain them. now, add the noodles to a bowl of chili and add the seasoning packet. poof! awesome (removed) chili mac!

I thought there would have been alcohol involved somewhere.

I like to buy the ones in the styrofoam cups that are slightly more expensive, but you get a little more...and you just add boiling water to the fill line and let it sit for a couple of minutes and voila!

Those are good. But I can't find my favorite flavor in the store anymore. I like the Jalapeño cheese. But the only time I eat regular ramen noodles is when I am sick. Mostly because I don't feel like making anything else. I like it with most of the water drained out and then mix most of the flavor packet in.

I've never had the jalapeno cheese, but I like the cajun shrimp. I'll have to try it with shredded cheese on it, that sounds pretty good...

I like to cook them in water and then add some of the water to the bowl, strain the noodles and then mix in the seasoning packet for a more concentrated flavor.I picked this one up from my college roommate: Add some frozen peas to help cool it down and add some sort of nutrional value to them.I've also used them as stir fry noodles and as the noodle portion of mac 'n cheese.

The more expensive $1 packages in the plastic trays are pretty good too. Although plastic isn't much better than styrofoam, decay wise.

With the cup o noodles, I fill it with water and about 1/4 bottle of tobasco. Then I cook it in the microwave and let it soak for an hour.I used to eat ramen dry. First I'd break the brick up in the bag into little chunks, open it up, toss out the veggie pack, then pour the chili powder pack inside, shake it up and enjoy!
